Job Title: New Business Development Manager
Location: JHB & CAPE TOWN

 

Job Overview:

As the New Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying, pursuing, and securing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth and expand our client base. Leveraging your expertise in sales, market research, and relationship-building, you will develop and implement strategic initiatives to cultivate partnerships with prospective clients and key stakeholders in the freight and logistics industry.

Key Responsibilities:

 
Market Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential clients, market trends, and competitive
  • Analyze data and insights to develop strategic plans and target specific industries or regions for business development

 

Lead Generation and Prospecting:

  • Generate leads through various channels, including cold calling, networking, referrals, and digital marketing
  • Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective clients by actively seeking out and qualifying new business

 

Client Relationship Management:

  • Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target
  • Understand client needs, challenges, and objectives to tailor solutions and effectively communicate our value

 

Proposal Development and Presentation:

  • Develop compelling proposals and presentations that articulate our services, capabilities, and competitive
  • Deliver persuasive pitches and presentations to prospective clients, showcasing our ability to meet their unique freight and logistics

 Negotiation and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with clients to achieve mutually beneficial
  • Work closely with legal and operations teams to ensure contract compliance and smooth onboarding of new

 Performance Tracking and Reporting:

  • Track sales activities, pipeline progress, and revenue targets using CRM software or other relevant
  • Prepare regular reports and updates for senior management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive

Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or account management within the freight and logistics
  • Strong understanding of freight forwarding, transportation, warehousing, and supply chain management
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business
