Responsibilities:

- Diesel Mechanic on Earth Moving Machinery
- Assist senior mechanics with diagnosing and troubleshooting diesel engine issues
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections
- Assist with engine overhauls, rebuilds, and repairs as needed
- Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines in the shop and on job sites

Qualifications:

- Junior level (Just qualified / fresh out of college)
- Completion of a vocational or technical training program in diesel mechanics is preferred
- 1-2 years of experience working with diesel engines is a plus
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior mechanics
- Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be able to speak and understand Afrikaans

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and crouch for extended periods of time
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions, both indoors and outdoors

Contract 6 months then perm if successful!!
