Job Description
We are seeking an Assistant HR Manager to join our Finance and Administration team, reporting directly to the CFO. This role offers the opportunity to drive HR strategy, talent management, and employee engagement while ensuring compliance with South African labour laws.

- Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Manage recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and succession planning.
- Oversee employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary processes.
- Drive employee engagement initiatives and promote a positive workplace culture.
- Ensure compliance with labour legislation, Employment Equity (EE), and BBBEE requirements.
- Administer payroll, benefits, and HR systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Lead and develop the HR team, fostering a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Industrial Psychology, or related field (Honours preferred).
- 5–7 years’ experience in HR management or senior HR generalist roles.
- Strong knowledge of South African labour laws and HR best practices.
- Experience with HR systems, payroll administration, and talent development.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects.
- Strong leadership, team management, and coaching capability.
- Attention to detail, adaptability, and persistence in achieving results.
- Must be prepared to work additional hours when required.
- Valid driver’s license.
