Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Store Manager to join our team and support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations in Cape Town. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure trading floor operation is Legal & Safe everyday using all available tools & observations
- Deliver the Brand Promise everyday ensuring great value, quality, range & service for our customers
- Ensure all promotional activity is executed to plan.
- Manage schedules and overtime so we have the right colleagues in the right place, at the right time and labour costs remain in line with budget.
- Manage the operation so Waste & Shrink are in line with budget.
- Ensure daily production schedules are maintained correctly for all relevant departments.
- Ensure we engage colleagues by conducting regular team meetings and coaching on the go.
- Manage and develop the talent within your departments
Job Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Retail Management diploma would be advantageous
- At least 3 – 5 years working experience as an Assistant/Department Manager in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Retail Environment
- Available and flexible to work different shifts across trading and none trading hours
- Transferrable
- Own reliable transport
