Job Description
We are a seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance Officer at to join our Team in Alberton. The ideal candidate will establish, implement, maintain, monitor and improve all functions and awareness programs required to ensure conformance to ISO9001, IATF16949 and Customer Specific requirements as well as performing duties as laid out in this job description to support the SHEQ Management team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitating the establishment of, and Managing the implementation of projects, processes, procedures, records, monitoring & measuring systems related to QA processes that may be required
- Providing support to the SHEQ Administrative Assistant in Creating registers, databases and any other processing ability required to provide evidence related to the operational aspects of the Quality Management System
- Communication on processes, procedures, records, monitoring & measuring systems related to QA processes
- Assisting the Central Training Officer in training of processes, procedures, records, monitoring & measuring systems related to QA processes
- Providing operational support to the QC Supervisor to enable the QC Processes to function at optimal efficiency
- Managing the monitoring & measuring activities related to QA processes, including audits
- Participate and/or lead Internal and Supplier Audits as and when required
- Providing QA process related reports as may be required
- Reporting on the effectiveness of projects, processes, procedures, records, monitoring & measuring systems related to QA processes
- Managing & Facilitating Risk Assessments & Problem-Solving activities related to QA and QC processes
- Managing & Facilitating Problem-Solving activities related to Non-conformances
- Add Hoc Delegations & Tasks as required by the SHEQ Manager related to QA processes
Requirements
- Minimum Completion of the following Advanced Accredited Courses in ISO9001 or IATF16949;
- Implementation
- Root Cause Analysis & Problem Solving
- FMEA
- Control Plan
- PPAP (Advantageous)
- APQP (Advantageous)
- Internal Auditing
- BSc / BA diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Similar Field of Study
- OR
- Minimum 6 Years’ Experience in a Quality Assurance role if no relevant formal Tertiary
Proven Knowledge in:
- Advanced Excel & Word
- Project Management Software (Gantt)
- Steel Manufacturing & Machining Process
- Steel Mechanical Properties
- Interpretation Customer Requirements, including Technical & Mechanical Drawings
- Automotive Tools such as FMEA, Control Plan, PPAP’s etc
- SPC Analysis and interpretation
Experience:
- With Formal Education: Minimum 2 Years’ experience in an Engineering Environment
- (Advantageous if role was at Supervisory or Managerial Level)
- Without Formal Education: Minimum 5 Years’ experience in Quality Assurance Role
- (Advantageous if role was at Supervisory or Managerial Level)
- Minimum 2 Years’ experience in creating & updating Policies, Procedures, SOP’s, Work Instructions, Flow Charts and Templates for Quality Management Systems
